The work involves the delivery of stock to Sainsbury superstores across the south east. Drivers have to pass a driving assessment and then undertake an onsite safety induction. Start times operate on a 24/7 basis but we do attempt to tailor start times to individuals requirements. The working day is an average of 10 hours however due to operational circumstances individuals must be prepared to undertake a 15 hour shift and two/three runs if required. All drivers must wear high vis jackets, toe tec safety boots and carry their licence with them at all times.

Job Description
Drivers need to be experienced in multi ping and have sound knowledge of locations in Sussex. this could be particular areas as routes can be tailored to the locations that individuals know. Typical start times are 7.00 a.m. with an average working day of 10 hours although this can vary and can be up to 12 hours. Drivers shall be able to work under a workload of 40 - 50 deliveries a day and up to 20 collections.
Criteria Drivers must be over 21 years old and hold a valid Category C Licence, a Lorry Mounted Crane or HIAB certificate is desirable but drivers with experience and confidence of operating such vehicles will be considered. Those who wish to learn and achieve a HIAB qualification will also be considered. Drivers must have their own transport and contact telephone and be prepared to operate from different locations, experience of building materials is desirable but this can also be taught to new entrants to the industry.

Empty trolleys have to be collected from each location and returned to the depot. This is a 24/7 operation but we attempt to tailor start times to individuals, working days average 10 hours but may exceed these due to operational circumstances.
